The second SJC Cup International Chess Tournament will be held on the 12th and 13th of April 2025 at St. Joseph's College. This international chess tournament is co-organized by the SJC Old Boys' Association and the Hong Kong Chess Association. Eight world champion amateur players from China, the HKSAR (2 players), India, Mongolia, Kazakhstan (2 players), and Vietnam are invited to participate in the tournament. Among them is Mr. Daniel Lam, an alumnus of ours, who was the first Hong Kong player to win the championship in the "World Amateur Chess" Blitz Group in 2017.
